I'm on sulfasalazine and they work well on me, i usually only get ra trouble when i get a cold.
Has any one else when they get a cold get blisters in between their fingers or thumb. Or a swollen forhead like there is a bit fluid and its feeling tight. Or am i unusual?!

I think there is lot more colds than usual going around with all this cold weather we have been having, i had a bad cold in september and chicken pox end of november totally covered with blisters when i had that.

Hi Dawn,

It sounds to me that you should be seeing your GP ASAP, I don't know about being unusual but the symptoms you have described warrant investigation.

Take Care,

Love,

Barbara

Hi Dawn

I don't know of anyone suffering similar symptoms. I would definitely get in touch with GP as soon as possible. Is it possible you could have a secondary infection from the chickenpox? Hope you can get an appointment. Take care.

Hi Dawn
Im on sulphasalazine, not experienced the blisters you describe.
I do have a sore mouth at times and "sulphasalazine" headache if any changes in time spans between tablets, horrible!
I agree with others to seek medical advice. Take care and hope things improve for you ~ love Liz xxxxx

Hi, i'm sorry i did write mean now. I'm better now. It was when i was not on the internet. And i was wondering if those things was common to have. Should of wrote it better sorry.Sad

When i had the cold it was in september i had only come back from holiday a few days and i came down with a cold, lost my voice then a bad evening and night watching the clock for next dose of pain killers but was still in pain so in the morning phoned up out of hours service and asked for something stronger. They helped a lot better. I had my feet up on a leather foot rest but made the back of one of leg all red and hot that and the fact i had what might of been bites from my holiday but was not sure, when i saw the doctor the next day he wondered if they where infected, but he was not sure what they where and because my leg was still hot and red from the foot rest gave me antibiotic's. I showed him the blisters, i have had them before when i have had a cold they peel off after a while, forgot to mention my forhead. Then he wondered if i might have lupus, my fingers on one hand where red and like sausages and my other hand i had a bumpy things on two of my fingers. My feet and ankles where swollen so i could only walk slowly, and my elbow were red and sore. He wrote a letter to rheumatology.

I got an appointment with rheumatology but had to cancel because of chicken pox, never even occured to me that i had that not at 41 years of age. I was worried it was my tablets. One doctor was not sure, the next day another doc was sure it was, but come of tabs just in case. Went back on tabs after a week off them. I had my blisters swabbed and it was chicken pox.

Went to see rheumy and he would not, want to take me off sulfaz because they work so well on me. I would not want to come off them i agree with him i'm lucky really, that they work so well its mainly when i get a cold i get trouble. Because the doctor wondered if i had lupus i was looking it up, there so many symptons you could easily convince yourself you had it. Rheumy asked me how i thought i had lupus but it was the doctor that mentioned it. They tried to take blood but i was a bit sensitive so took viles to take with me when next went doc.

Anyway i have another appointment in feb see what they say, thats if they still want to see after the results of blood.
Sorry again for the misunderstanding i hope, have written it better now.

Thanks for the replies nice to know people care.
Hope 2010 will be a good year for us all.
love LOL
Dawn
